I just drank Jack Daniels. I'm painting the bathroom.
Jack Daniels helps.

Actually, I think that's imitation Jack Daniels, technically not bourbon!
Dickel!
The last time I drank the Dickel I ended up hiding in the beach dunes from the cops. I was 26 fucking years old. hanging out with Yalies. hiding from the goddamned cops.
Dickel!
I also got into a wrestling match and frightened some uptight medical students.
Dickels, you taste like shit, but you make fire in the belly!
My friends and I refer to this activity as sucking dick.

15there's a crap/not crap all of you should check out.
Nonno=you should be given a bottle for your comments. smooth is THE most overrated characteristic in whiskey. drink canandian drivel if you want smooth.
Deals=$13-$25
Old Grand Dad--Bottled in Bond...better than the stand OGD and about 4 dollars more. A heavy Rye Whiskey.
Evan Williams Single Barrel--fantastic bourbon, woody, spicy and just fantastic, espcially for the price.
Bulleit--I'd have to beg to differ on the sweet comment. Slightly sweet but very bitey. I love this bourbon...it's what turned me on to bourbon back when i was a Scotch drinker. This too is a very high rye content bourbon, hence its kick and spice.
Rittenhouse Rye--18 dollar bottle...fantastic rye whiskey, especially for the price.
Turkey 101--the 80 is shit. 101 is super spice and BIG in its punch. that is a huge characteristic of all Turkey products, sans the 80.
Deals at $30 or more:
Van Winkle 12 Year Lot B--fantastic bourbon, heavy on the wheat, but very flavorful.
Old Rip Van Winkle--109 proof--good but not GREAT.
Pappy Van Winkle 15yr--prolly the best buy on the market for the price. About $40 and will make a Scotch drinker soil himself.
Ezra B Single Barrel--my current favorite bourbon right now. Every single drop is full of character and punch.
Rowans Creek--tastes like no other bourbon out there. A great buy and truly unique.
Four Roses Single Barrel--KY only as noted already. Again, a stellar drink and a fantastic gift for anyone who drinks whiskey.
$50 or more:
Blantons--this is a high end favorite. Most bourbon drinkers i've come across love this stuff. I love it too, but it's gift territory (thank you Saff).
Pappy Van Winkle 20 yr--I didn't dig it at first, and I tend to think anything over 15 yrs is too much, but this I dig a lot.
George T. Stagg--Prolly more myth around this bitch than Albini's record collection. Fortunately, this shit is tangible and it's worth every bit of hype it gets. It's so highly allocated that a case is on THREE bottles!
I'm done dorking out. if you want to be gayer than gay sauce about bourbon, go to bourbon enthusiast dot com. I love that site.

19I can't believe how cheap Maker's Mark is in the US. It got me into drinking bourbon in the first place. You Americans should be fucking ripped 24 hours a day.
