Oh man it's so good. It's got better versions of some songs that were on the tour only comps, and all the stuff they did when I saw them that I wasn't familiar with. I love the shit outta this band.

Yeah, I haven't listened to anything else in over a week. This album is all about Jared. The first LP, in my opinion, was Coady's chance to shine...but Jared just kicks ass on this record. Phil Ek did a really good job. Plus, some of the songs totally surprised me..."I'll Give You Something to Cry About" and "Another Beautiful Day in the Pacific Northwest" blew me away. SOOOO good.

Someone sent me a link to the leaked album. I can't wait to get my hands on the right and proper CD.

One of my favorite new bands of the past couple years. And what a live act! I know it's going to be blasphemy, but I think I actually prefer them all alone onstage rather than the Melvins/BB beast that was unleashed on this last tour. That was pretty damn incredible too, but I wanted to enjoy that big but stripped down BB sound all on its own.

I have to admit feeling like the BB set was better than the Melvins set on this last tour. That's a hard thing to admit.

I've seen them a couple times by themselves and both sets were better than what I saw with The Melvins. But that's like saying this porterhouse is better than that filet mignon. Both were excellent.

You know, I've often wondered why the Melvins and Steve have never crossed paths. Talk about potential for a ridiculously incredible record.

I am listening to Charlie Parker right now. I can't tell exactly what it is, but it's definitely Charlie Parker. It's coming from the apartment directly above me. A guy just moved in there, pianist, gloomy looking feller. I was going to invite him over for a beer, but then I heard him play some lite-jazz version of a Clapton tune.

The Bird is nice, though.
