I know chances are slim in terms of recovery, but I thought I'd post this here just in case. Our guitarist's car was broken into early morning yesterday, and someone walked away with his Marshall combo amp. It is a JCM 900, 50w, 2x12, it is missing the knob all the way on the far right for Channel B Volume, and missing the gold face for another knob. This was stolen in the La Jolla area of San Diego. If anybody sees anything like this in a pawn shop in the area, it would be greatly appreciated if you could let us know. Thanks.

4That is a tragedy. I'll keep an eye out. craigs list and pawnshops.
A warning though...never, ever leave gear in a car unattended
if at all possible.
This may sound preachy and obvious. just needs to be said.
Cunningham, who also posts on this board had his g4 powerbook and his digital camera stolen from his car. This being located right next to the record store. He was originally loading his car and leaving the store when
another employee pursuaded him to go get a slice of the pizza pie.
he was gone a whopping 45 minutes.
The thieves used a cement block to smash his windshield, not the side window the fucking windshield!
Oh, and this was in downtown Carlsbad (this area not being known for these type of crimes.) at 6:00 pm in the evening. The parkng lot is heavily travelled by employees from the local plaza and patrolled by rent a cops.
Once again, the obvious choice is to never leave equipment in your automobile if possible.
Good luck.
If i hear anything i will pm you.

Footprints on my hood. Doors still locked.
Unimaginable.
Definitely file a police report. The cops called me last night to notify me that they were able to pull some fingerprints and will get back to me when they are done processing them (3 to 6 months, but still).
