I'll try to hang. I know I've brought up Cats In Boots multiple times around these parts. Zodiac Mindwarp and The Love Reaction, Candy, Kix. I'm quite partial to White Lion, except for all that children crying bullshit.

Pretty Boy Floyd.
That dog won't hunt, monsignor.

Full name Francis Carlton Serafino Ferrano II.

I know the real names of all the members of Motley Crue off the top of my head.

I'm not sure if we're still friends.

I have two words for you.

Van Halen.

"Kiss traces its roots to Wicked Lester, a New York City-based rock and roll band led by co-founders Gene Simmons (born Chaim Witz in Haifa, Israel on August 25, 1949) and Paul Stanley (born Stanley Harvey Eisen in Queens, New York City on January 20, 1952)." (via Wikipedia)

Yeah, cuz "Chaim" and "Stanley" are way cooler than "Frank."

Seriously, man. It seems like your entire argument for why KISS is good and the Crue isn't is "KISS was there first." Which is fine, but not enough for me.

I only liked 5150 and that only mostly for the cover art and its effect on my basketball game. My shooting percentage on my driveway court increased by 5-6 percentage points when that cassette was in my "ghetto blaster."

"I love listening to Terry Gross on NPR. I like the unique insight she provides into the more personal aspects of the various artists and famous folks she interviews.

Remember Kiss, the mediocre heavy metal band back in the eighties that specialized in crazy make up and cod pieces? Terry interviewed Kiss front man Gene Simmons awhile back, where he revealed himself to be one of the most narcissistic people on the planet. I think he may be trying to compensate for something.

It’s a pretty amusing interview, actually, and I think Terry did a pretty good job of dealing with his bloviating. Usually, you can listen to archives of interviews on the NPR website, but not this time. Simmons refused to allow its release. So, I’m offering it here. At least until I hear from Gene’s lawyers. Enjoy."
