Argh indeed. And I'd still rather listen to Stryper than Kiss.

157KISS just reminds me of the 1970's. Aside from Christmas music, they were the first memory of music I had as a child. My quaalude poppin' pot smokin' cousin was way into them.
My wife told me that her first memory of KISS was a friend's brother who had the posters and the toys in his bedroom. She would sneak in the friends' brother's bedroom and they would listen to Billy Joel records on his turntable. The KISS regalia really terrified her and made her never want to spend time at this friend's house.
I never really paid attention to the music until I was like 20 years old and by then I didn't think it was all that great. But the 70's marketing- the toys, the posters, the album art, the creepy factor really wowed me as a six-year old. I suppose KISS made my cousin pick up the guitar, which in turn piqued my interest.
Does the acronym really stand for Knights In Satan's Service? Cuz that's what my grandmother told me when I was seven years old.
I think it is quite difficult to do a c/nc on KISS given that it will always be "more than just the music" so I will abstain from voting..

What the fuck does "Shout at the Devil" mean? I picture one of those hairsprayed junkies yelling "Hey! Devil!" And then what? What happens after you yell at the devil? Something cool?
AHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I just ruined a perfectly good keyboard with a vast amount of mucus (I hab a code in be nodes). Thanks, zom! I didn't read all the posts on this thread until now. This is one of those things I have wondered about all these years, but never articulated.
The Replacements had a "Shout At The Devil" bumpersticker on their van, but they crossed out "devil" and replaced it with "bathroom". I never understood that one, either.
