Fortunately, I've got a boyfriend that is going to kindly host me in his house until I find a new job... After that I might go and rent a friend's spare bedroom for a few months, and then move in with my boyfriend in the summer.

I'm still a bit shoked by what happened. Fuck I cried a lot, that wasn't fun :C

From what you have said it sounds like your employers weren't very nice people, so fuck 'em!
Enjoy not having to look after them any more! I'm sure you'll get another better job soon.

daniel robert chapman wrote:I just heard someone shout "Woo-hoo! SNOWING!" Whoever she is, she ain't no liar. It's thin at the moment but the night is set to get colder; I think winter arrives in Leeds tomorrow. I had my first snow of this winter in Glossop at the weekend just past, and I'm ready for more. More!

There was snow in London this morning as well. On the way to work:

I had a strong urge to tell the team to take the morning off and go tobogganing. Instead, I told them to work harder and stop staring out of the window. Bloody young people. All that energy.

Confession edit: Not really. Just felt jealous at their boundless enthusiasm and happiness with the simple presence of the good white stuff.

Kids today, eh?

No, no, no... It is good because it isn't cocaine. Hence the good white stuff.

Cocaine is evil. The Sun wot told me.

I am currently full of haggis, neeps, tatties and red wine having been to a Burns supper at a friend's house. As an occasional treat haggis is pretty F'n hard to beat!. I have got tomorrow morning off as well, so I'm going to sleep in! Awesome.

For the past three nights, I've been stalked during my sleep-time by a Pakistani mobile phone that rings off or stays silent when I answer. Last night I left the phone off; this morning I had an answerphone message from the mystery caller that sounded like a fridge trying to speak.

None of my (mainly morally dubious/highly dodgy) Pakistani relatives should have my number. An unsettling minor point is that a similar haunting occurred to the main protagonist in one of the last great books I read, Shusaku Endo's Scandal. Is anyone aware of a particular con going on?

Work is far too busy at the moment, unpleasantly so. But I plan on doing something about that in the next week.

Mr Barry Shostakovitch is moving out of the flat we have shared for the past four and a half years today to go and live with his girlfriend. We gave each other a hug as I left for work this morning, and I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears on the short walk to the tube.

Salut! Barry

Yeah, those car fumes really irritate your eyes, don't they?
