I've found that people who like this movie either "identify with the characters" or "wish people talked like that". I didn't find the characters to be "flawed", I found them to be "despicable" and "vapid". Kind of like a negative of Seinfeld, but with coarse language.

The thought of wishing people talked like that kind of gives me the willies. I'm not sure what I'd think if I heard somebody say the type of stuff Clive Owen says, I'd have to get back to you on that. I don't think I could stand a world where people talk that much.

Some nice lines in it, sure. But the story boils down to stripper with a heart of gold bullshit. Oh Jude Law, you had the perfect sex worker companion, but you threw it away for a fling with a woman who looks like Lyle Lovett.
