I searched and couldn't find this topic.

What was your first actual band, that played out more than a few times?

The first band I played in was "Orpheus". I joined them, I did not name the band. I played bass. Check out the awesome Vox Constellation IV.
Here we are at Crystal Mountain Ski Chalet, winter 1974. We played R&B, Chicago covers, etc.

My first band was a rap group. We didn't have a name since it was a one off, for an end-of-the-year talent showcase at my school. My moniker was Smoothy D. No pictures but there's a video of it somewhere.

I wish i had photos of my first bands.

My first band was a cover band in high school in Hilbert, WI, pop. 1200. We were called Crazy Dawg and we slammed on some serious Black Crows, Poison, Tom Petty, Chuck Berry, BTO, Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and even "Smells Like Teen Spirit" when it broke huge our senior year.

We had a big ol' banner with a crazy lookin' dog on it that the other band members' cousin airbrush painted for us.

My brother and I started a band when I was 16 and he was 15 called Pung. We were bad three chord punk. The band lasted for 3 or so years. We recorded about 30 songs but only ever put out a 7" ourselves, a free split 7" with some friends and a 6" on a label.

Here is my brother and our second bass player, Var, somewhere in South Carolina I believe:

Here is a song off the 6".

This explains the 7.5 Pitchfork rating.
