what sort of music do you play?[/quote]

Here is a link to www.natkingtron.com or www.myspace.com/natkingtron Check it out and let me know what you think. Our local record store describes our last CD as "Improvised cinematic post rock, RIYL: Tortoise, Early King Crimson and codeine." I say its a potent blend of off kilter, razor sharp guitar and effects, saxophone bleets and bass, anchored by ass shaking bombastic beats that often blossom into seriously pleasurable waves of cinematic melody and noise. You cant choose what folks say about you huh? My last band was called psychedelic by the local weekly!

This board is used for our completely improvised music and i like to have a lot of crap on hand. The new stuff is composed and I don't need / want to have so many effects. I change my mind all the time about it. Some days I crave loads of effects and some I just want to plug straight away into my amps. It depends on the stuff i'm writing at the moment.

This is the current board im running right now. Soon I am going to be toning it down a bit though as this thing is fucking heavy.

Due to the angle of this shot, I only recognize about half of this stuff. What's the list and how is it chained?

Also, just curious, how do you use the Whammy? Do you use the DDL for set delays and the Memory Man for crazier stuff?

What guitars and what amp(s).

The signal chain goes:
Whammy (quick wobbly pitch shifts with +/- octave)
EHX Streo Polyphase
Eb Volume
Zoom Ultra Fuzz
Boss DD6 (set for reverse)
Akai Headrush
EHX Qtron+
EHX Deluxe Memory Man (short modulated echo)
Moog Ring Mod
Boss RV-3 (repeats)
EHX 2880 Loop sampler

I use a Fender Jazzmaster, Fenser Strat, or an Ibanez AS-80 semi Hollowbody.

For amps I use a Gibson GA30rv, Peavey classic 50, and I just got a Vox AC30cc2 which im loving. I used to play through a stereo amp set up but again two amps plus the board and guitars is fucking heavy. Im trying to suck it up cause a stereo amp sound is the balls.

I don't know if I'm being naive... but the Total Sonic Annihilation is a waste of money. I used the master accesory jack (which uses both channels) from my Sunn amp to plug into the first pedal in my chain, the last goes to the gain channel. I had a CD player plugged into the clean channel playing samples (replace this with a guitar). Feedback loop? I think so. If I'm wrong, you can also make a pedal that does the same thing for a much lower price than $120 or whatever the hell those cost.

I really enjoy the Boss HM-2. So fucking bassy. Why did they stop making this thing? The Ibanez D-7 Delay and PM-7 Phase Modulator are also badass.

I'd really like to find a Boss Giga Delay for a decent price.

is there a site with pedal sound bites besides boss? I don't know shit about pedals.

I want to find kinda a clankier sounding distortion pedal, I have a boss ds-1 and it takes away the natural tone from my amp, and kinda turds it up a bit. I like playing straight through my amp, but it can be a bit twangy for my style of play.

point of refference of what I'm looking for;

something along the lines of; guitar in 90 day men, (it (is) it), the guitar throughout that album.
