definitely. couldn't have gone any better for them or comedy central, who of course are going to play the apologetic card publicly, but deep down they knew this was a very real possibility and banked on it. think of the market penetrability of this stunt, if it just "worked as planned" - it would have only hit the major urban markets - as it "blew up" (no pun intended) going "all wrong" - now every asshole from bumblefuck to europe knows about the show.
i bet the city of boston will seek damages from comedy central, which they'll be happy to pay with from the massively increased DVD sales they're about to rake in....
so even though we're sposed to feel like taxpayers money was wasted, fuck that - they're gonna get thiers and in the end everyones gonna make money on this, except a bunch of college freshmen who until now didn't know about the show. or rather, thier parents who they're still leeching from will be losing their long saved tuition money cuz of the stunt.
