Just a moment to salute Leeds United for their 2-1 win away at Hull this week, a win which, of course, saw them drop a place in the league to dead last. Only Leeds can win, and go bottom. Salut!
At the same time, Flo is out for two months with a broken foot, David Healy has broken his arm, we've signed a Danish keeper and the the Evening Post tonight describes Dennis Wise as waiting anxiously for next week when the 'emergency loan signing' window opens in the Football League.
Sigh. At least Alan Thompson looks good, although having scored two goals from free kicks in the last two games, I fully expect him to get him by a bus in the next few days.

232Hearts have sold our best outfield player, Paul Hartley, to Celtic for around £1 million.
Crap.
At least Craig Gordon will be with us 'til the end f the season.

233I knew Leeds were doomed to a decade of despair when O'Leary signed Seth Johnson. You just can't make that kind of signing and expect good things to happen.
Fortunately for Leeds fans, Johnson was signed in 2001, which means your decade of despair will end in 2011. That's only 4 years from now. You're past the halfway mark, though at the rate things are going you'll be a conference side by the time the curse is lifted.
...however, the curse isn't entirely vicious. I mean, you did get Dennis Wise as manager instead of Glen Hoddle. Or rather...
...well, anyway, if you're trying to visit all the league grounds, you can do Crewe Alex, Doncaster, and Port Vale next year.
All Scottish players will be sold during the summer. All non-Slavic players will be replaced by the end of next season. The Gorgie, Wheatfield, and Main stands will all be dismantled and shipped to Vilnius, Lithuania. Only the Roseburn Stand will be allowed to remain at Tynecastle so that away supporters don't have to travel so far. Home supporters will first have to work a tour of duty as crew on a former Soviet Submarine before being allowed to purchase season tickets.
All I can do when I read news about Hearts is cry.

234I am going to shoot myself if West Ham gets relegated. I also prefer that Wigan not be relegated. Fuck you, Charlton, as you have been the same for years without adding anything to the EPL. Sorry, Watford, but you have not such as a chance. Let's hope for a Sheffield United or Fulham collapse down the stretch to benefit the Hammers and Wigan.

West Ham's biggest problem at the moment may be Reo-Coker. Anelka may be the incredible sulk, but right now Reo-Coker has that title. Curbishley has brought in a lot of fresh blood, but now the trick is to mold it into a functioning unit. 13 games left to do so.
Charlton and Watford can go down, and Warnock has been remarkably behaved this season, so the Sheffield United entertainment value hasn't been up to snuff.
Wigan are in trouble for one major reason. They let go of this man. Really, anyone player who brings this to your game is obviously quality. Jimmy Bullard I salute you. (which is why it would be a shame if Fulham were relegated, though I suppose someone would quickly bring Bullard back to the Premiership once he regains fitness.)
However, in my ideal world, the teams going down this season would be: Watford, Charlton, and Blackburn. I would pay good money to see Robbie Savage relegated.

All good points. Cheers.

Who do I shoot if Leeds go down to League One then?
Actually, no-one believes me but it doesn't bother me that Leeds aren't in the Premiership. Finishing mid-table every year behind the likes of Scum, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea becomes tedious very quickly. Since we've been relegated it's rekindled my interest (not that it ever really dwindled tbh). There's something to aspire to in the form of promotion or just surviving the drop (again!). The billionaire's playground of top-flight football really doesn't appeal to me much anymore.

I believe you and see your point about the "billionaire's playground." I like it when the upstarts make noise there (Wigan last year, Portsmouth and Reading this year). I find it almost sad that I cheer for Arsenal sometimes just out of spite for Chelsea.
League Championship is fun to follow. I would hate to see either Leeds or QPR relegated. At the moment, even as horribly as Leeds have played, they have a game in hand needing 4 points to even themselves at the edge of the relegation zone. Hopefully, they are able to clear themselves of that mess of six sides at the bottom over the next couple of months and avoid becoming a Sheffield Wednesday-type casualty of elite play.

I'd like to see Forest back at the top, too, yes.
