bad moon rising by sonic youth

what really scared me was 'confusion is sex.' i distinctly remember not wanting to listen to it because it was freaking me out (in the car, in the middle of the day... haha). of course, it grew on me and it's become a little less scary over the years. now it's one of my favorite sonic youth albums.

CIS used to scare me when I was 19. ( not anymore )
I add :
Butthole Surfers:demo 81
Spinanes:Strand

Anything by Today Is The Day is so overwhelmingly depressing that I wouldn't doubt it. I'm highly against suicide, but TITD is just freakishly painful music. The title track on 'Temple' is enough to bring suicidal thoughts out of... hell, anyone. Even me.

Not strictly for the music, but the cover of Crossed Out's 'Fuck Grindcore' 10" lp, when i showed it to my friend made him genuinely upset when he saw it. Then we moved on to Burning Witch's 'Towers' 12" EP and i showed him the picture on the inlay. It's a scratchy Black & White drawing of a figure walking into a forest through some snow. He was actually scared. He said one of the best things: "I can't un-see it".
For the record, that Burning Witch EP is excellent.

there was a track on the Babes in Toyland "Nemesisters" LP (I think it was either the second or the 3rd track, it's been awhile), that used to kind of scare me when I was a youngun. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

As far as scariest band goes, I think... oh I don't know... the Swans I guess. My girlfriend had a nervous breakdown while listening to "I Will Swallow You" in our bedroom once.
