As a result of this thread I went out and found Crazy Rhythms thorugh my local library.
Now I can vote Not Crap and thank my local library system for its wide collection.
Band: The Feelies
32Loveless Love and Moscow Nights are two of my most favorite pop-rock songs out of all the pop-rock songs whose existence I'm aware of. Not crap.

33i would agree that The Good Earth is their finest record, simply because it has an alluring ambience to it. it's a good LP to put on and leave on. their other LPs are nice too. haven't heard the Feelies pre-Crazy Rhythms.

35I love the Good Earth. I saw them live back in '89 opening for Lou Reed on the New York tour, they were great.
They make an appearance in the Jonathan Demme movie Something Wild. They do a cover of Fame and Next Teardrop Falls (in Spanish).
Later in the film the song Slipping (into Something) is used prominently.

37I have never listened to a Feelies record, but I saw them open for Lou Reed in 1989, and they played a fine set. I especially enjoyed "Sedan Delivery," an excellent choice to cover.

The Feelies, not Sonic Youth.
So, who's going to this? I am. Tickets went on "sale" today.

I'll be in NY and I got my reservations today. Hopefully my friend will be able to pick up the tix. Very excited to see the Feelies. I've been a fan since I saw Smithereens in the 80s. youtube them doing "doin' it again" on letterman.

40I forgot about this and didn't ask anyone to get me a ticket, but then again, I kinda don't want to pay (I think this is one of the RtoR "fundraiser" shows) so maybe I will just hang out in the park and listen.
Hopefully the Feelies will play somewhere else.
