I'm mostly rocking NE5532's, but there's some TL072's and some 741's in there too. ;-)

Oh, and I just got one of those Epiphone Valve Junior things.

Floating around here are a Peavey Classic (SS front end, tube output),
a Peavey Rage, a Hartke bass combo amp with a 15" speaker (I forget the model) and a few heads and combos in various states of repair/disrepair.
Nothing of great collector value, maybe little value at all.

I just fried a 70s silverface Twin. I have no idea why. It caught fire and we had to leg it out of the practise room with it before the sprinklers kicked in.
We opened it up and the base of the one of the power valves is black tar and all the wires to it are completely burned.
Not good.

i bought a champ in the early 90s, supposedly a Hybrid new model champ.
I think the distortion is solid state tho, one of the many reasons it sucks so hard.

The clean sounds OK if you crank it up to pseduo distort it, got some decent sounding 4 track recordings with it. Overall I'd say it was a waste of money tho

I've always got on well with those amps for doing quiet things. I play guitar for this lady who's a kind of Cat Powerish thing (for want of better description) and I used a Champ like this once and it was lovely. They go for bucks too as the dude from radiohead uses one...
