My band and the Shadow Government are setting them up starting at 9:00.
The show is very FREE! and so is the beer if you sneak it in.

How was this show. I so wanted to go, but got distracted by a battle with landlords who have, in the last two weeks, tried to poison us, freeze us, and yesterday had turned off our water.

Dont get me wrong, we are great tenants and pay way too much for our apartment. These guys are just bastards -- Kass Mgmt.

Anyway.... how was the show?!
my mustache will be named 'Rick'.

Are they somehow related to the Trib columnist John Kass? You should write him about it. Maybe he'll embarass them in print.

I know that John Kass the columnist was born to a Greek immigrant grocer on the south side, so I don't think his parents are Kass management. Whether there is a more distant relation to the realtors, I don't know.

I have heard that Kass Mgmt. suck from others. From a complaint found on the internet:
Kass Management company, I’ve said a lot of very hurtful things about you and they are very true. Our building has a leaky roof, our electric to the building has to be barely legal (if that), you haven’t fixed my bathtub, you hardly ever mow the side lot, you’ve lied to me repeatedly about fixing the garage — basically, you, too, are douches. Maybe it’s the landlords. I’m not sure. But I do know that you’re not quite as straight-up about fixing shit as you are about selling shit. I’m sorry you’re such douches.

'Douches'. Any one who uses that as an insult is bona fide.

I'm wondering how this was, and if any people in Milwaukee made it to the Todd Wehr on Saturday. I told Narnia I'd bring her and she was so excited, but then I couldn't find a listing anywhere for a start time, so I called Todd Wehr, and they told me there was nothing going on there at all! I had to break it to her and she was really bummed. I went to the Cactus Club later that night to see Mahogany Throttle and was told that the show did actually happened and that the person on the phone must have been fucking with me.
Grrrrr.

It was my first CML live experience and it was fantastic. Over the past few months I kept missing them due to some lame reason or another, I took advantage of the free show, (no alcohol), and had a wonderful time. Also, out of the few times I've seen the Bitter Tears Monday night's show revealed itself to be the finest out of the few. The Shadow Government? The vocals bugged me. All in all it was a wonderful time. No "Pizza Party," or, "Hungry Liars" from CML, but the new songs sounded tip-top, with the last song being awesome. It was an awesome song.
