Don't listen to anyone who pooh-poohs the "toursity" stuff in Seattle. Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, the waterfront--those places are great.

My SoundTransit guide conflicts with the web site here,

but the 545 express bus between Redmond and Seattle is now 24 hours, M-F.

go to ballard and visit bop street records. it will stun you and there's a great bar just next door. it's a quiet little spot in the norwegian bit.

On Saturday (2/24), my friends in Lake of Falcons and Dust Bunny are playing at the best non-venue venue (the SS Marie) in Seattle. I'm sure it will be good.

Maybe you should see this teen band.

It doesn't sound so good on the internet, but it was neat to watch, especially the 16-year-old girl drummer. She played weird and hard, but she also had a kind of finesse, like she was in jazz band or something.
