I use(d) a Boss BR1180CD for a long time, and I have to say, if ease of use is the most important factor, that machine is a fucking winner. I've basically run out of space on it and I hate the limit of only TWO simultaneous inputs, but other than that it is a pretty nice machine.

I'm lusting after a Korg D3200. A friend of mine recorded his whole record on one of those things and it sounded very incredible for a digital machine. I think it has something like 16 tracks, eight can be recorded at once...about a $1000 for a great machine.

Wouldn't record to a computer. Just doesn't seem right.
