for all the europeans fans

It pisses me off that the legends of US underground rock never come to cool countries when they go on tour in Europe. It's always Holland, Belgium (WTF?), France, Italy, etc. Shellac's not even coming to Germany this time (double WTF?).

Once in a while, they'll show up somewhere like Ljubljana.

But generally, they never come to the cool countries. Like the Czech Republic, or the newly independent Montenegro....

Don't they realize that France, Italy, et al, are the Disneyland part of Europe and that it's not punk rock to play there?

I understand your "disappointment" but I guess that Shellac organize their tour without official tour booking agency like a big rock'n'roll band. For example, in Italy, I am pretty sure that the tour is organized by Uzeda (Giovanna and Agostino) not by Clearchannel or other big agencies that organize european tour.

Ciao ciao Jacopo

Sure, I totally accept that they're not using big corporate asshole booking agencies, that's not the problem.

What irritates me is that when you look at the tour listings on a website like www.southern.com, for instance, you'll see that nearly all of the bands keep playing the same four or five countries every time they come to Europe.
Now, there are 27 countries in the EU alone. These kind of patterns make it look as though most of the bands are just not thinking about any fans they might have in the rest of them.

There, there. The Germans have become some of the biggest self-flaggelators in the World. I, at least, can't think of anyone who comes close. But as a foreigner living in Germany, I must say, it's a cool country, no matter what anybody says.

Outside of Bavaria, that is.

Food only tastes boring because you're a vegetarian.
Advice from a friend:
Spend some time in a foreign country. I've seen audiences in the UK that would have made me want to punch them if I had been on stage.
