Hey Alex, what pedal did you get? I was just fucking around with an old tremolo pedal of mine (kind of a cheesey one, really... it's a Johnson 'fifties' tremolo pedal FT-2 -- still fun though).

Their music is just what I've been needing. I just got Playing With Fire today, and it's all I've ever heard from them. It's appeasingly pleasant. It's more fulfilling for me than Galaxie 500 or Low (though I like these bands just fine). Listening to them kind of reminds me of the relentless efforts on my part to get into different "indie" bands (wimp rock) of today and that they're all missing a certain subtlety in their sound that I think Spacemen 3 capture well.

I like the 13th floors, but there's not a lot that really makes it stand out against the backdrop of all the other psychedlic music of that era. Roky Erickson, however, after he went crazy... Now that's some heavy shit.
