265Sorry, just kidding.
They are building a 30 unit, 6 level condo monstrosity.
That, added to the condos on the other side, will eventually block out most of the natural light in the studio.
Progress huh?
There are condos that are still not selling across the street that have much more space than these will. Maybe in the crash to come, we can buy it and make a wiffleball field out of it.

Building the "ICBIHtMtST-FD" buffer.
Stuffed perf boards, which took longer than I would have liked. I'm on the wiring now (48 pairs in a tiny box).
I'll take pictures if it looks particularly stupid.

Started wiring "ICBIHtMtST-FD" buffer by first soldering ground jumpers for the output shields (on the d-sub connectors). Ben Flint (part time new employee) prepped the 48 pairs, cutting, stripping, and tinning them.
Problem-
Ampex MX-35 #1 has noisy output on both A and B channels.
Solution-
Replaced output driver tube (12AU7A) with quieter one.
Problem-
Ampex MX-35 #2 has no output on A or B channels.
Solution-
Same o/p tube as #1 bad. Replaced it with a new, quiet tube.
Upgrade-
MX-35 #2, channel #1: Swapped old Beyer "peanut" transformer with a Jensen JT-115E transformer.
details later.

270I want to know what's going on with the idiots next door. Did they get that big back-hoe out of the middle of the foundation after pouring concrete forms all the way around it?
I have to say I got kinda mesmerized by those idiots while I was at EA.
If I can find the time I want to start a myspace page for that back-hoe.
