I drink a lot. I also try to be concientious about how and where I spend my money (won't go to wall-mart or shit like that, and I try to support local businesses).
gennerally I drink Olde Style beer and Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon. I've heard that Makers Mark contributes hevily to the republican party.
Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can find out the political affiliations (if any) of the companies that make the alcaholic beverages I'm spending a good deal of my disposable income on?

6Ciao, Nonno!
Please, if it so pleases you, give us the Nonno review of Bulleit bourbon whiskey. If she has not passed your lips, forgive this intrusione.
mb, presently sipping Van Winkle 12-yr Special Reserve, Lot "B".

7Heineken, though I'm not a huge fan, is run by a fairly progressive company. Fuck a Coors, obviously.
I think it's probably true that most bourbon distillers are not "politically correct," but the only ones I stay away from for that reason are Jim Beam brands. They are not all distilled in Kentucky, and some of their distillery workers at facilities in Kentucky have reported numerous OSHA violations.

Probably one of the two large multi-national conglomerates that own most of the breweries in Europe. Hell even Paulaner is mostly owned by one now.
Czech beer might be a nice choice for those who drink based on this truly bizarre concept. The Moravians and Bohemians don't really see eye to eye on much but when they get together to make some beer it's a truly wonderous event.
