I caught the second half of the West Ham game in the pub. We were 2-0 up at the start of the second half, and we lost 4-3. It was a cracker of a game, and Tevez made our third goal with a beautiful free kick, but losing in the last minute of extra time really took all the pleasure out of watching it.

We are now bottom of the table and 10 points adrift of non-relegation. Magnusson must be wishing he'd bought a turkey farm or something.

He was the captain of Leeds United until mid-week when he rang his old club Luton Town and asked if he could come back. Having played just fifteen games for Leeds after joining and getting injured in pre-season training.

Rats, sinking ships, etc.

It's Kevin Nicholls, and it's pretty unbelievable stuff. Especially when you take into account that Leeds sold David Livermore - who had been signed a week earlier - so that they could buy Nicholls. As Wise points out, it's a completely unrealistic demand, that he be allowed to leave and help Luton's fight against relegation. Especially considering who Leeds play next week.

What worries me too is that as soon as he arrived Dennis Wise made this guy captain, and seemingly had no hint that this was coming. I'd like Leeds' manager to be a better judge of character than that.

Tough break for West Ham today. And the tabloid stories have been mounting up - two players seeking help for gambling addictions, baliffs turning up at training to chase £800 in congestion charge fines from Carlton Cole, Anton Ferdinand saying he's visiting his aunt on the Isle of Wight and flying to America to party. Incredible stuff. After all the speculation that he would upset the squad, it seems like Tevez is the only one down there who actually gives a fuck. Oh, and Leeds' loanee signing from Charlton with a very Bulgarian name apparently joined Leeds after turning down West Ham. Two things spring to mind here: one, that West Ham must look utterly crazy to a footballer for him to choose Leeds; and two, how shit must he be if only Leeds and West Ham want him?

To try and put a positive spin on it, it might have killed us - if the club captain really would rather be playing for Luton, it's best to have him as far away from our pitch as possible. How long has he been playing with this attitude? And how many points might that have cost Leeds?

The funniest part of all this is that he's been Waccoe's sponsored player of choice this season. Last time I tried, I couldn't even get their forum to load...

Yeah. Tevez played really fucking well today.
Rimbaud posted this in the dumbshit thread in case you lot didn't see it...

I cannot believe that it got past the editor:

Valencia vs Inter last night. Someone should tell Chelsea and Arsenal - it's not a proper ruck until you try to storm their dressing room.

Almost every single player involved was an South American.

Inter should be banned from european football for a couple of seasons for this. Remember a a couple of seasons ago when Dida, the AC Milan keeper, was hit on the head with a flare thrown by Inter "fans"? Fuck them. Don't let them play in europe. I repeat, fuck them.

There should be some action taken against the Valencia player who threw the punch before running away.

Fuck them.

Granted, that derby is pretty intense and it's usually very unfair when they meet in the Champions League (Milan progressed over Inter on the "away goals" rule - on their home ground - over Inter a few years prior). But that mess only happened because a) Inter had a rightful goal disallowed by a poor decision and b) Shevchenko headbutted Marco Materazzi - something which was completely unnoticed by the officials, but apparently by the Inter supporters.
