I need a new Dianogah album.
But when????

Last time I heard some news about them was about new t-shirts, which is nice. But I really want some new songs.
Jay Ryan....please tell me some good news, even in a near future release would be fine.

well, diego, we were waiting for someone to ask, just to make sure at least one person would listen to the record.

we'll be playing with shellac on friday april 27, then go into soma the next day to record "FORE!", our new album.

this record will feature some daring manevers for our band, including such unconventional practices as using effects pedals, singing, and kip turning the snares on and off during songs.

currently, we have 54 songs, 6 of which are done, 3 of which are good.

since j_harvey's twin boys are almost three years old now, and capable of being left alone for the night, we will consider touring again some time in the next year. until then, we'll play anywhere within a one-day drive of chicago, on saturdays only.

some of the songs on the new record will include:

'i like juice (in a shark suit)'
'night ruiner'
'snowpants'
'qhnnl'
'song you hate'
'new one one'
'new one two'
'new one four'
'antars beauty supply'

also, there is some new fan-art featured on the dianogah website, in the 'stories' section. this was mailed in by a seven-year-old from lubbock, texas.

I had a migraine last night. A bad one.

I'm limited to the sorts of sound and light I can tolerate when I'm in that condition. Nothing harsh or unfriendly.

Two in fact. I was talking about Dianogah with a friend of mine last week end and we were wondering about a new album. So for sure, he'll also buy it when it's out.

Of the 54, how many are good? Why not compile an album from those songs?

the stuff we played at the hideout with andrew was all old stuff where he 'filled in' for keyboards or bass clarinet [on violin].

i think they were 'wrapping the lamb', 'american dipper', and 'sky came down'.

if diego and his friend are buying records, then we'll tell southern to bump the pressing of records up to 14.
