Check out Putfile for hosting audio files. I've used it a couple of times and it seems to do the job.

If you're going to record your voice and attach a picture of yourself, why not just video yourself and put it on youtube? (for the whole world to mock and slay)

Gotta come up with a good phrase to say though.

Not really sure about this as a whole though. My accent has changed quite a bit over time as having changed countries as a youth, and now living abroad has taken the edges off of whatever colloquialisms and accent I had when I was younger. Also, as I taught English for a few years I adopted a rather neutral speaking voice. However, if I go and visit family, then after a few days it starts to come back. But really as it stands, I don't think I have any discernible accent anymore. At least, not that I can tell.
