So I must admit that I am very disappointed that Pearl Jam is going to be the headliner at this year's Lollapalooza festival. It's not that I hate them. But of all the bands that have come out in the past, say 10 to 15 years, I can't help but question why these festivals always try to dig up some dinosaur arena-rock band. Let's see what you fuckers have to say...........

Well, one might argue that Lollapalooza is acknowledging its history by having Pearl Jam headline. I would argue that it is parodying itself. Pearl Jam is a particularly stupid band, never the embodiment of anything but the most predictable "dinosaur arena" tendencies in rock, which essentially boil down to crass commercialism and general insipidity.

I voted Crap...but I should have voted Not Crap.

Lollapalooza is just celebrating its fake "alternative" history. It's not like any of the bands they championed in the festival's formative years were actually any good. It was all to make money by profiting off of what was perceived as being "punk" or "alternative."

Pearl Jam is perfectly appropriate for such a poser-fest.

Can't tell you how much I hate this band. #2 only to Jane's Addiction.
