purchased today!

last time I went up to London for a Shellac gig (at the Scala), I ended up getting stuck at Guildford at 2am, in sub zero temperatures, waiting for the next train at 6.20am to Portsmouth.

I'll take my thermals this time round. Or at least get my travel arrangements better sorted.

So this is the place that used to be called the Camden Palace?

I spent some of my all-time worst nights out in London there. The horrible Tuesday student night was the pits*.

*Only went there twice. It was populated by miserable drunken teenagers pretending to have fun, tourists who had wandered in without knowing better, predatory older men waiting for some girl to get too drunk to walk...and the music... it doesn't bear thinking about.

I'm hoping to go, awaiting confirmation of room and board from a mate to make it viable. Are there a lot of tickets left does anyone know - and where's the cheapest place to get 'em? - supporting act(s)?
Yes I saw Mudhoney last at the Koko - not that impressed with the place. If Shellac can get the sound anything like they did at the Scala though, I'll be blown away again..
