how many distortion pedals do you run your bass through?

it normally goes like this: boss compressor->depth charge->big muff->moogerfooger ring modulator->Line 6 delay stompbox->loop station->ampeg combo amp.

recently, i've been discarding the moogerfooger and the big muff, and using those on a shitty old drum machine instead.

i like the big muff fine, but the depth charge has a more harsh sound and when both are used something gets canceled out.

eh...

i use the loop station also, but only at home or at practice when laying down something I want to play over on guitar. I don't really trust it. It's like a control freak bandleader. You either have to completely give into it or go your separate ways.

speaking of bass picks, what kind are you people using? I like the big fender triangle picks: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... rc=3WMS3FR

Hey, I do the same thing...although I'm hoping to integrate into our live show soon. I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of these bad boys, but fuck me, they're expensive.

Jesus, that 2880 looks insane...

i'm already on the verge of using a small table for my pedals when we play live, but that would definately require it.

I saw my friends band play the other night (Chicago's mighty BINGES) and my friend anthony had 4 head rushes running through a small mixer...out into a sunn cab...fucking madness.
