What a nice thread!
Baseball!
Baseball or Soccer?
162Baseball is the only sport that I follow with any sort of vigor. I can't see how anyone could find baseball boring, it's perfect. As for soccer, I went through a period of time when I watched a lot of Dutch League and English Premier League matches, and the two things that bother me about the sport is the feigning of injuries and the fact that the game can end in a draw. Both are major strikes against the sport in my opinion. I do have very fond memories of watching Soccer Made In Germany on PBS as a child (1970s) on Sunday mornings.
Baseball or Soccer?
163I chose baseball.
grew up playing more soccer than baseball, caused by a sophie's choice moment a coach put me through at age 11. crazy.
we rarely get to see exciting soccer over here. it's nice to root for the american team though.

Baseball is better than any form of motor sport.
Baseball is better than any Nordic or Alpine sport.
Baseball is better than yachting.
Baseball is better than skydiving.
If you mean watching Baseball is better than watching these things, I may agree, with the exception of hockey and motorsports.
If you mean playing Baseball is better than any of these things, I must strenuously object. I cannot speak for things that I have not done, but among the things I have done, the above are way more fun than playing baseball. For me.
Baseball or Soccer?
166Under the most perfect of conditions, both can be extremely exciting to watch.
generally, with baseball, the lower the score, the better.
a pitcher's duel, low hit game, where every at bat is high stakes. Wow. I can watch that anytime.
a low scoring, tied game in soccer does not always equal fun to watch. I'm not one of those meatheads that want to see basketball type scoring: I love a nice 1-0 game, but soccer tends to reward conservative actions, (see the miserable wc final last year) where a significantly less talented team can win (ignore last year's world series).
