Has anyone who ordered tickets online received them yet? I don't do this often and the amount of time it takes to receive the tickets is a little unnerving, just wondered if anyone actually has theirs yet??
I would just called stargreen but they seem a little twattish on the phone and I'd rather talk to you lot.

Off topic, I know, but can the Shellac boys please play in Germany or the Czech Republic for once? They're playing in Zurich, for heaven's sake, it's not as if it would be out of their way. In fact, it seems as if they are intentionally avoiding Germany...

There are more than enough N/C venues in more than enough N/C cities in Germany where they would be more than welcome. Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Bremen, Dresden, Munich, Hannover, any one of these choices would make me and a whole lot of other people really happy.

And what is up with the Czech Republic? To my knowledge, they have never played a single show in that country, but hell, they played in Ljubljana, wasn't too far out for them.

Furthermore, the history of Shellac and that of the Czech Republic overlap quite neatly. In fact, Shellac is in a way the "older brother" of the Czech Republic, being founded in 1992, whereas the Czech Republic was founded on January 1st, 1993, coinciding with the breakup of Czechslovakia.

Don't they owe it to their little brothers to give 'em a show sometime?

I got mine from (I think) wegotickets.com and there was a £1.50 booking fee on each, so £16.50 each. They send you a confirmation letter and then your name goes on a list on the door, you just take ID. No ticket required, as Phil Collins might say.

No word on support yet

Drinks before, definitely.

I received the same. I've had this happen before with SeeTickets - they sometimes do not issue the tickets until quite close to the day.

Drinks beforehand still a good idea. I have a few friends coming along, and more surprisingly, my dad. My dad actually perked up and asked to come when I mentioned that I was going to my brother, his having suffered from me raving about the band ten years back.

My dad's first proper gig was to see Cream in the Chelmsford Corn Exchange. He went on to see Jimi Hendrix and Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green version) at the same venue.

My dad went along with me and my youngest brother to see Slint last year. "I want to keep up with the new stuff." He professed to being impressed, and preferred the songs from Tweez.

My dad is pretty game. I am genuinely curious to see what he thinks of Shellac. I am reasonably confident that he will at least appreciate the rhythm section.
