Am i the only person on earth who thinks these guys are a bit overrated? I saw them in a basement last year, and don't get me wrong, they were good, but people were building them up as this mind-blowing experience, when really they were a really solid punk band that just happened to drench their vocals and guitars in effects. They were enjoyable, but if everyone didn't talk about them all the time i would have forgotten them in a week.

Yes, please, and more of it! I was looking for new bands exploring that aesthetic. I didn't want to roll off a list of bands which is why I opted to post labels instead: AmRep, Touch & Go, Skin Graft, etc., etc.

Sorry about hijacking your post. Your tastes probably run a straight parallel to mine.

You HAVE heard This Heat, haven't you? If not, their first album was just reissued to CD. Please listen to it...you will like. Not fully destroyed, but, well, it was 1980.

Laddio Bolocko seems to miss the radar a lot, but you will definitely like it. And their new band, with a new drummer: The Psychic Paramount.

Factums (active local Seattle 'noise rock'. Great.)
Pink and Brown
Neon Hunk
Six Finger Satellite
Crust
The Stunning
Orthrelm
Wreck (look at House of Boris...some of their stuff is a little weird)
Of Cabbages and Kings
Drunk Tank
The Liars
A-Frames (check out that first 4-song demo!)
Dissecting Table
Missing Foundation
Hawkwind (with Nik Turner)
etc.

Who everyone, besides me? They are touring with times new viking.
I'm glad you saw them already. Sharkey was good to talk to at Shellac in Philly.

Lair of the Minotaur- Heard a song on Southern lord compilation.
