I got home, and bought a few records from this guy I know in D.C. I got all the Arcwelder EPs, three Rifle Sport records, the Slint s/t 10" (never heard it), a Killdozer 12", and some other 7"s he said he'd throw in at his discretion from his collection. All for $70. Not too bad I thought. Plus he's way cool. His shop is closing down and he has a bunch of stuff. If he ever types out a list I'll post it here because I'm sure there will be some shit a lot of you will be interested in. But don't count on the old timer doing anything soon.

Saw Grindhouse last night, and it started at 11PM.

Got out of the movie sometime after 2AM.

Went to White Castle afterwards, had two doubles w/o cheese and no ketchup. The Castle was the most crowded it has been in a while, and to tell the truth I was a little uneasy about being in there, but my companion and I probably served more as a curiosity to the hood rats in there than a target.

Got home at 3:30, and stayed up for a little while because I was wired.

Of course, staying up that late played hell with my wakeup time, but I managed to drag my ass out to Coney Island to shoot some stuff. Lots of Hasidic and Orthodox jews of all sects there, riding the Cyclone and playing the games. I toyed with the idea of hitting on some of the early 20's Satmars who were smoking cigarettes, but thought better of it.

The go-kart tracks are now closed, due to imminent construction of luxury condos. Fuck that.

Today in the middle of a session (yep I work on holidays) I opened a fortune cookie that said "You will be rewarded for being a good listener"

Jeez, I fuckin hope so.

1.15pm : tracking guitars...can't concentrate , Mayfair open wide on the desk half listening, half reading about " Abby ( 21 ) " and her advice on good eating , world peace, and fave fritata recipes....
