Get it delivered or to go. They have a dress code (for which, well, they should go fuck themselves) and won't serve me there. But it's that good that I'll eat it anyway. Get the half-pounder ghoulishly rare with bacon. It'll fuck you up serious.

Boston Blackie's...is that the place on Clark Street, south of the Financial District, maybe off of Congress? If so, it always did seem a fancier-type sit-down place, thus my having never bothered. I reckon I'll give it a shot based upon that kind of recommendation.

Mac's on Division/Wood has a surprisingly good, spicy burger, or at least did a few years ago. Tuman's has an excellent bleu cheese-stuffed burger which kicks ass bloody rare. The burger at Twisted Spoke was awful.

I hadn't heard of this Kuma's Corner that I recall before this thread, and I still have a difficult time believing it exists despite the posted testimony. Must.get.there.

I am going there in about an hour, this thread has built an unstoppable desire within me to try every burger on this menu.
Today I meet the Mastadon.

They won't serve you, even if you wear the Borsalino? I mean, I know you wear shoes and shirts, so that cannot possibly be the problem.

WHO THE FUCK ARE THESE PEOPLE?

You and Jandek should go in there and kick some ass.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures

I like the 100% markup on the Three Floyds bombers.

But hey, it's about the burgers.

yeah the beer is expensive and even the burgers at 10 bucks is a bit steep but it's a nice little spot with nice people running it trying to stay afloat and serve good food so fuck it here's 10 bucks from me and sure I'll have a 6 dollar beer why not, gimmie something weird

Holy christ on a 10 foot rubber pole was that delicious.

So I went in for a burger, I had picked out the Mastadon as my victim for the day and I find out they have a brunch menu on sunday afternoons till 3.
Ok, let's see what they have for brunch then....

When the smoke cleared and the dust settled on the plate in front of me I ended up with a mound of really spectacular potatoes, covered with 3 fried eggs, a giant burger patty on top of that, the whole thing covered in cheese and 4 pieces of toast on the side.
Like 8 bucks or some shit.

Yes.

Yes.

So fucking what? I had 2 Mini Babybel cheeses for my dinner. Purple version, extra strength baby.

I am both jealous and hungry.
