Really Good Beers

it all started with New Belgium Brewery in Colorado. their Fat Tire Ale was the gateway drug to their Trippel. When I moved to the east coast, I could not get their products any more, so I resolved to try some authentic belgian beers. First, Duvel. Then the floodgates opened.

I am blessed with two decent liquor stores nearby that have a good selection of different Belgian stuff. I prefer the Goldens and the Saisons. Hence my previous votes for Deleirum Tremens and Foret. I still hit the Duvel occasionally too. Also recommended: Fin du Monde (from Newfoundland, Canada) and a bunch of belgians that I can't remember the names of, cuz I just recognize the picture on the bottle.

Middleton, WI - Capital Brewery - "Blonde Dopplebock"

Available only for like...a month...incredibly expensive six pack ($11.07 with tax! Jesus Christ!) Ides of April until sometime during May when they run out every year.

New Glarus, WI - Spotted Cow. Goddamn good beer. Like a meal.

Somewhere in Deleware - Dogfish Head...s'all good.

Yes! Highly underrated beers. And despite their extensive lineup, not a dud in the bunch.

Mmmm...I've got a Brooklyn lager in my fridge, pining for me right now.
