How about listing something new, and some old which has been entertaining lately.

2pretty much nonstop for the past week i've been listening to the first Consonant album whenever driving. i did have a couple listens to Iron Maiden's "Piece of Mind" mixed in there while driving as well.
before that, i listened to a mix of pretty much every song by Polvo and a lot from Unwound over the course of a couple days.
before that, i did a rotation of the first Rectangle album, Shellac's Terrform, and "16 most requested songs" by Les Paul and Mary Ford, each of those probably two or three times over the course of a couple days.
mixed in with all of that is a whole bunch of listening to a couple practice recordings of my own band, and about 100 listens to a song by my best friend that I recorded for him a couple weeks ago. still trying to figure out how to get the vocals to sound right (timbre-wise), short of re-tracking

3Still feeding my growing obssession with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (the sad thing is, any band I become truly obssessed with I stop listening to completely after about 6 months).
Today I've been looking up and downloading old Japanese noise bands that I have very little chance of finding in the shops. If anyone has any reccomendations I'd love to hear them.
And I had a listen to Harry Crews today too. How does Lydia Lunch go from (slightly) sexy to irritating in a matter of seconds?

8Lately I've been loving Jolie Holland. I just can't take it off. Both her home recorded record 'Catalpa' and the slick-great sounding studio record 'Escondida'. She's amazing.
