Wow, just found something new on YouTube - YTV coverage of Leeds United's championship celebrations in 1992. If you check that user's other videos, he's uploaded the full half hour programme in chunks and a couple of other bits and pieces too. Only gone up on there four days ago - I think he's trying to cheer us up...
I haven't checked if Eric Cantona's "I love you... I don't know why, but I love you" speech is amongst it yet...

372Do you remember the song from that speech?
Oh yes, there was a song.
It may have even charted if I recall correctly.

Good lord, I'd blocked that out. I think it's on the 92/93 video. Oh, Christ, I'm going to end up watching that tomorrow.

375This week is all about Lionel Messi's Maradona-esque wonder goal. And a sleazy sounding commentator on that video. OooooOOOooooh, YYYyyyEEEEAAAhhhhh!!!!" I'll still take Maradona's goal against England as the better one, as the defenders got a lot closer to him I reckon - plus it was the sodding World Cup quarter final, not the Spanish cup.
The Spanish press seems to have enjoyed it:
In slightly more mundane matters, Bolton have terminated the loan to Leeds of Lubomir Michalik, the defender who's arrival has coincided with Leeds playing well and not conceding. Looks like it's back to Marques and Heath tomorrow. Luckily for Leeds Southampton's striker Saganowski has done himself a mischief, so that's one less thing to worry about.
The Spanish press seems to have enjoyed it:
The Guardian wrote:It seemed a hybrid had been born: Diego Messi or Leo Maradona. "Messi," the headlines all declared, "scores Maradona's goal." One reporter screamed: "I feel like crying. Holy Christ! Long Live Football! Long Live Leo!" And that was in a pro-Real Madrid paper.
"So, you can copy a work of art, after all," wrote AS's Alfredo Relaño, comparing Messi to Elmyr D'Hory, who forged famous paintings but always put the signature upside down. "This was a replica, with the same path, the same acceleration with every touch, the same pauses and feints, always escaping on the same side. The only difference was Messi finishing with his right foot - that was the upside-down signature."
Messi's face was on the back of the Catalan daily Sport, with a note saying: "If you want to disguise yourself as God, simply cut this out and put it on."

Unrelated but related: I hate Bolton.

377Come on Charlton, today is the day!
I'm not rooting for Shefield to go down but eggs must be broken and all.
I'm pleased West-Ham are going down really, they were cunts for firing Pardew after all he'd done for them, the new owners clearly didn't give a shit about the club and everyone who was a part of it, but the biggest middle finger they could be given would be a Charlton survival. Pardew is a fantastic manager and I hope he stays with Charlton even if they sink.

378Leo Messi is great. He's been by far the best Barca player this year. His hat-trick against Real Madrid was great.

What's with your constant hyphenating of West Ham?
We won today, and Charlton drew. Things are tight as a gnat's chuff at the bottom right now. Watford are down though. I feel sorry for Aidy Boothroyd and his boys. Mind you we'll probably be playing them next season.
For what it's worth I agree with you about Pards, Sphincter. I think sacking him was a huge mistake, and a cunty thing to do. We do seem to have a track record of treating our managers badly.

I'm not as good at English as you?
Pretty happy about Chelsea drawing today, the tension remains though.
Do you know the details of the Tevez contract or any rumours about his wishes?
