I was on another forum a few years ago and was banned because I disagreed with the site owner about some political view. His justifications for banning people were always that his site was a private club and if you didn't tow the line then too fucking bad. Sure he may have that right but it doesn't make it "right". It's fucking bullshit.

There are some people here who's views I detest but I would never want them banned. I'd rather they spew their garbage and twist in the wind.

If your ideas are valid or good they will stand on their own and stand up to any analysis or criticism. I admire the owners of this forum for allowing the few assholes here to spew their ignorant crap because they expose themselves to a barrage of criticism and eventually, as in a few recent cases, they tire of defending their indefensible views and so they take their ball and go home.

To be intellectually honest and consistent you have to allow everyone to speak. Even people like matthew, humpy bear and galanter, all three of whom eventually took their balls and went home.

I think you are joking but just in case it's a figure of speech. Like when kids are playing kickball and the kid who owns the ball decides he isn't getting the treatment he deserves from the other kids so he takes his ball and he goes home.

He then gets made fun of by the other kids after he leaves.
