Okay here's a little compilation I threw together.
A friend of mine turned me on to a bunch of old Turkish rock bands. Some of this stuff is really interesting. It spans across a few genres, from dirgey psychedelic/acid rock to surf to proto-punk garage rock. Most of this stuff has a familiar American or European rock sound, but with some heavy Eastern influence. A good portion of it would sound right at home on any of the Nuggets collections.
Collection of Turkish rock & roll from the late 1960s and early 1970s:

Does anyone have these on digital?

1377Here's part one of that Mort Garson album 'Ataraxia' I promised, like, ten years ago:

Part two may take awhile as well...I'm literally rebuilding my PC and auditioning applications in something of a mindless frenzy...
Hope you like.

Thanks, man. I don't get too critical when I grab at this sort of thing...now I get something you've already combed through...

Well if I included all the stuff I have, there would be like 500 MB of songs, so I tried to include what I consider to be the best. I tried to select a lot of the "Westernized" stuff but if you like, I can throw together another collection of stuff that sounds more Arabesque.
Here's some more Turk rock, if anyone's interested.
Nekropsi is a Turkish experimental/progressive rock band. This album is a bit heavy on the time-delay effects for my taste, but their musicianship is excellent and they do some interesting things here and there, so it's well worth giving a listen to.

Thanks! I long ago owned the shorter versions on vinyl. (IIRC, it was first released as Six Songs, then as Eight Songs; I know that my bro and I had multiple copies.)
