also of note I am totally not looking to "pick up" anyone soon as I am in a very happy relationship.

basically the question, is you are at a bar or any other place that is public, and you see someone who is attractive, how do you start a conversation that may lead to something more? and what has worked on you?


I guess I feel I am fairly good at this sort of thing, and find that blunt honesty works great with women, I have used:

"Hi I'm Chris, I find you attractive, I would love to buy you a drink and have a conversation"

I think this works as most women (women on the board chime in here) get bullshitted at bars about 99% of the time.

so what works for you?

first rule of thumb to not come off as an idiot, have some confidence. second rule, be humble. after that, let nature take it's course.

Make her laugh.

Just not at you.

Works every time. At least for me.

yeah, but maybe she wants it or is willing to give you a shot to do it. i've probably had more positive than negative experiences picking up women. they aren't all that innocent.
