You are obviously voting Green then.
There were no surprises in the debate. Two extremists. Dodd up there with no chance but believing he can make a difference with his blah blah blah with no charisma. Biden would be fun to watch in a debate with just Clinton, Edwards, and Obama, but he'll just get lost in the mix till he runs out of dough. Nothing changed this evening, except that any outsider darkhorse chance that Richardson had is done because he was just pathetic and shockingly bad. Wow, how bad. My headline: 7 people perform as expected, and Richardson ruins any remote chance he has.
I agree that Richardson underperformed. He
did just look sad, didn't he? He has hyped up a no-nonsense plain-spoken image and at no point did he seem comfortable. Dodd, I believe, had the best opportunity to gain exposure just because he can be articulate and he is a relative unknown nationally, but he failed to sieze on that. Edwards also bombed, he had none of the charm or spark that carried him in 2004. He seemed like old news.
Clinton and Obama did exactly what they needed to do and not mess up.
And ol' Joe won this round, if you ask me. Politically speaking. He was pithy, comprehensive, slightly entertaining and uncharacteristically sane.
