First Primary Debates

You are obviously voting Green then.

There were no surprises in the debate. Two extremists. Dodd up there with no chance but believing he can make a difference with his blah blah blah with no charisma. Biden would be fun to watch in a debate with just Clinton, Edwards, and Obama, but he'll just get lost in the mix till he runs out of dough. Nothing changed this evening, except that any outsider darkhorse chance that Richardson had is done because he was just pathetic and shockingly bad. Wow, how bad. My headline: 7 people perform as expected, and Richardson ruins any remote chance he has.

I agree that Richardson underperformed. He did just look sad, didn't he? He has hyped up a no-nonsense plain-spoken image and at no point did he seem comfortable. Dodd, I believe, had the best opportunity to gain exposure just because he can be articulate and he is a relative unknown nationally, but he failed to sieze on that. Edwards also bombed, he had none of the charm or spark that carried him in 2004. He seemed like old news.

Clinton and Obama did exactly what they needed to do and not mess up.

And ol' Joe won this round, if you ask me. Politically speaking. He was pithy, comprehensive, slightly entertaining and uncharacteristically sane.

Yep. And I don't even run parallel with their platform...

Well, if they pump up the meds on old Jimmy Carter, the dems will get my vote back. An active vote for anyone who doesn't insist on pulling out of Iraq, period, is a bad vote. In my humble opinion.

Biden was solid. I like him, and he had the moment of the debate with his "yes" crack.

I hate to admit that I like having a bull-in-a-china-shop-and-maybe-off-his-rocker-in-the-tradition-of-Admiral-Stockdale bomb-thrower like Gravel in the mix -- just crackin' on people and acting crazy, bringing spontaneity into the mix.

I think that's why Biden is still hangin' around.

Definitely. Just so it's not that bad McCain kind of crazy. I think it is a lock that Obama and Clinton will be the only two left after super tuesday ( which is earlier and bigger this year ), because they're the only two candidates that corporate america/corporate media wants in the race, and they will soak up all the money.

There is still noise in the world of Gore backers, though. I read somewhere that a bunch of web domains related to goreobama08 had been registered, but that could mean nothing, because I didn't read if some money people did that.
