想い出波止場.
Or, Omoide Hatoba.
First,
Mantako. I first heard this record in my pal Nuuj's car, while we were driving to Chicago, September 2nd 1994. My life would change drastically in the next few days. It was late at night. Nuuj was driving, and he had the look of a man who had been driving for 6 hours straight, because he had.
From the opening careen of "Cream Beam" to the echoed swagger of "Come On! Me!" this record was the perfect soundtrack to our own personal Raoul Duke/Oscar Zeta Acosta roadtrip.
Now I give it to you.
This was the gateway to the wonderfulness of Omoide Hatoba, and its associated projects like Zubi Zuva X, Audio Sports, and about a zillion others.
Kinsei was the next record I got, with
Black Hawaii soon to follow.
If I have time, I'll post some Pugs records too. Now those guys are insanity.
