Shellac chopped & screwed...?

1
Hi there,

Under the moniker xdonricklesx, I've been messing around with my new turntables & exploring their capacity to help me create "chopped & screwed" music.

For those of you who don't know what that means, go 'head & google it; it's fascinating. My question, though, is whether or not it would be OK to post here in this forum the Shellac tracks I've done. I'm aware that Steve Albini has publicly expressed distaste for both hip-hop (which birthed the chopped & screwed sub-genre) and remixes (which is, essentially, what chopping & screwing a track is).

& of course, there's always the whole "artists rights" thing (LOL WTF YA RLY).

So, that's my spiel. So to speak. If it's cool to post the tracks (so far there's just a couple), I'd be very happy to, especially to get some feedback from folks who are more Shellac fans than rap fans.

Thanks in advance for whatever,

Mr. Graham

Turntables are for playing recorded music. They are not musical instruments. Fuck that shit.

That's ridiculous. So I scratching is nothing more than noise to you?

It's the only way I'll be able to achieve the sound I hear in my head.
