There was a single on some "alternative" compilation CD (in 1994 I believe) that Nirvana recorded called "Verse Chorus Verse" and I was wondering if it was recorded at Electric. It sounds like it but, I don't think, after the initial experience, that Steve would have them back.
Also, another song called "I Hate Myself and I Wanna Die". Were these part of the same original sessions of "In Utero"?

No it's "Verse Chorus Verse" in reference to the style of songwriting Nirvana was prone too (which was play X/y chords soft on the verse , then the same chords on the Chorus but heavy - Kurt felt he had exhausted himself in the style of writing)They strayed away from it with In Utero (where they recorded the song, Verse Chorus Verse - ironicly not written in that fasion)

Steve:

I know it's a while back, but did you have any formal contract(s) involving the recording of "in Utero?" Or was it a handshake deal.

I just ask because while reading the Nirvana sessions page listed, I kept wondering where the legal line was drawn, as far as your rights to the mixes versus their own (i.e. Geffen recs) desires.

thanks, gage
But I digress. Please continue with the squirrel circuit semantic debate.

If coming onto electrical's site is about "indie cred/respect" you've missed the whole point. If you take note of the website as a whole, it's for educational purposes. They didn't list all their outboard gear, microphones and various other gear, along with pictures of both studios so you could come on here and earn "indie cred/respect".
If anything, Steve, Russ, and Greg just on here to educate people. Not see if everyone else is "part of the indie scene".

It's more independent to just like whatever you like (which may include Nirvana. Heck, it might include Korn for all I care) regardless of what your little dinky punk rock scene tells you you're suppose to like.

Regardless of whether Nirvana sold out or not, whether they were independent or not, I think they were a good band.
