Some vegans can be really condecending at times....almost pious about their "lifestyle". I feel sorry for their kids. Let a kid be a kid. Its not like you have to walk some fine line between the hyper-religious vegan approach and cramming White Castle burgers down the kid's throat for fuck's sake. Common sense goes a long way.
BTW...when I was in my early 20's I went without eating meat for like 6 or 7 months just to see what it was like. I felt fine...lost a little weight but felt fine. As far as being a Vegan....well fuck that.

Everybody is going to have to become borderline vegan if the predicted water/food shortage occurs. Might as well get used to it now, failing which I'll be happy to take your mung-bean chilli...

Any vegetarian/vegan will tell you that the worst part of vegan-ism/vegetarianism is the endless procession of predictable, reactionary dullards lining up of berate you on your food-related choices as if it has anything whatsoever to do with them.

Boring stuff.

And on the subject of veggie kids, I'd suggest that at least the parents of veggie kids take an active interest in their kid's diets. This is not something that can be said for the majority.

Because it represents the possibility of individual political action, and conscious self-denial for the sake of the betterment of others (animals in this case). This is not a concept that many are comfortable with.

As for Vegans thinking meat eaters are just out to get them, am I the only person who's seen vegans getting busted for child abuse because there kids are malnurished and have picked up disease from not being fed?

As for friends, that's just a dumb point to try to make. If you throw a dog a piece of bacon, it doesn't come up with some "Whoa buddy, pigs are my friends." bit. The bacon gets eaten.

Im comfortable with your concept. It's just Im more comfortable eating a medium rare cow patty with bacon and a large helping of dairy on top. Oh, individual political action is possible and it is represented in my life.

Hmmm, speaking of individual political action. This reminds me of the time I was in a great Sushi restaurant. I was in there early, and the chef proudly asked me which Salmon should be killed for the evenings Salmon sashimi and courses. I pointed at one salmon in the tank and the chef caught it with his net, put in on the cutting board, and yelled "showtime." Mind you, I was not in a english speaking country so the yelling of showtime had me laughing my ass off. Then it happened, in one clean swoop of the blade the head was on the floor and the fish lay flapping on the cutting board. Great memory and that was some of the freshest fish I have ever eaten.

Wait what were we talking about? Ah yea, a good "political action" experience for you vegans. Hey maybe you can all discuss the Woody Harrelson endorsed book Raw. while eating......raw food.....and then eat a veggie burger, chicken, bacon or whatever else you've flavored soy/tofu as these days because you know you want the real thing!!!! You guys are like so individually groundbreakingly political....when it comes to food.

This actually reminds me of a rant Moe from the Pursuit of Happiness went on about this very subject at a show I went to a ways back. The just of the whole thing was: If being a vegan/veggie is so good for you, why is Randy Bachman so massive?

I take it similar considerations have led you to always sniff a stranger's pooper before you start humping his leg?

It's only right and natural.
