cool flick!

One of the few horror movies that genuinely creep me out, nearly every time. Something about the scene where they're testing the first batch of blood with the wire, and ... gah. Good stuff.

I love this movie. The scene where the Thing is in the pen with the dogs and turns into a big plant-looking deal stands out as really creepy, and the scene where the guy's head drips off his body and grows spider legs terrified me when I was a kid.

NOT CRAP.

What happened to John Carpenter? I think the last decent movie he did was In the Mouth of Madness

This movie scared the crap outta me as a kid.
I can actually remember avoiding the living room
one night when my pops was watching it.
I think i might have to rent it and see if the magic
is still there. seeing those faces on the alien,shit that
was creepy! not crap pending further notification.

didn't it have Snake Bliskin A.k.A Kurt Russell?

Very good movie. Very bleak and very scary. One of the things that makes it so good is that the fear is comes just as much from character developement (actually, moreso) as it does from the scary ass monster.

Also, you have to love the scalpel and needle shots.

And that scene where Blair is talking about how he's ok and just wants to come back inside, sitting down next to a noose, is pretty messed up.

so tense! so thick the tension in this movie!

I just watched this. This is totally not crap.

Quite possible one of the most Not Crap films of all time.

One of my top ten horror/scifi/splatter films. Shudderingly Not Crap.

Anyone play the Playstation game? Never had the chance.

it was a playstation 2 game...not as good as the movie....i ended up stuck on some random part and gave up...


the original 1950's movie is the best, in my opinion, but the remake was just as good
