Just sayin'!

Self-contradictory post.

Ha.

Earlier pages in this thread contained such rationale regarding commercially available music - a case was made for those folks who, say, owned the vinyl but not the digital. It was suggested that in these instances such Sendspace postings - if they need to occur - could be handled outside of this thread.

My "self-contradictory post" is a smartass reitieration of this previous conversation, cause, you know, Fugazi.

Thanks for playing.
It's like you put everything into a bottle inside itself.

It's good that you joined in and shared early in this account's EA career, it's also a good record that you've chosen. However, combined, these two do not make a great start. This thread largely exists under sufferance, and it's not melodramatic to state that posting current Fugazi records endangers it further. I'd just withdraw the link, edit the post, go and rummage around for something odder and come back pride intact.

and not pick a fight with Mr Chimp, who has righteousness on his side.

Minutemen is DOWN!

though I still feel that there's nothing much wrong with posting it for the above stated reasons, The "Steady Diet" argument won me over. I can be pm'd for the link if still wanted.

I do agree that posting Steady Diet is completely wrong, especially since you can now also get it digitally from any number of websites. just check www.dischord.com.

that said, it is a horribly over looked record, and in many ways the one I return to most often. HATED it when it came out, but over the years, looking back through the evolution of the band, I can totally see how it was a jumping off point, taking them into the future of whatever the hell they became (which I love). Also, some of the best Guy songs EVER>

Does he mean it's self-contradictory because the sendspace link is still there where Mr Chimp quoted it?

Psychedelic space rock. Sheets of guitar noise, stuttering with time delay effects skate over the top of iterative, downbeat-heavy bass lines. Frontier's rhythm section showed some defiinite hip hop and drum 'n' bass influence. Kinda in the same vein as early Flaming Lips and noisier Spacemen 3.

ahhh, those were the days of fancy lights and smoke machines. once they got rid of that, the mystery was gone.

I've asked before (elsewhere), but now I'm at begging point.

Please, please does anybody have access to the track 'Litany' by NZ band 'Lung'.

Ideally the 7" version, but I'm not in a position to quibble.

Thanks in advance (he said with little hope of success).
