I have been listening to and enjoying KTL (KinderTotenLieder)'s s/t recently, the bastard child of Peter Rehberg (Pita, who I love) and Stephen O'Malley. I think it's best filed loosely under "dark ambient," def. hellish/creepy. O'Malley does his trademark WAROOMPF! occasionally, and then some other stuff. I don't have much affinity with the WAROOMPF! most of the time, but it gets a pass on this record.

I saw KTL last night at the Luminaire. They were very very good. It sounded really lush.

I recommend a record label called "Crammed Discs". Their stuff is usually very good. My favorites are "Minimal Compact" and "Aksak Maboul"
They are both from 80's. blah blah blah..
