I'm just trying to figure out if there's anything swell i can do to make my weekend even better. Maybe i will do the Cadbury thing. Anything else? Anything else at all? I have only ever been to Birmingham once and that was when i was 12.

EA meet ups will be second on my list of priorites, the top prioriy going to being mesmerized at the very front of OM.

Nice attitude. Sorry I've had bad experiences there and make throw-away generalisations about the place on a messageboard, I'm an awful person. Feel sick, look down on me whatever.

Sorry sphincter. Nothing personal. I just had one of those moments where i was reading it and scratching my head trying to remember typing it. I was in a bit of a confused daze and got that sinking stomach feeling - more as a worry for my mental health rather than actual words spoken. That's all i was meaning. Not looking down on you. Still harsh words though.

*offers hand for gentlemanly shake, bygones etc.
You're a shit DM and i want my pizza money back.

If I can find a place to stay for a few days, I might go... Are tix still available?

Plenty of tickets should still available:

Previous Supersonic events haven't sold out in advance, but who knows with his one. This line-up is pretty damn good!

The Capsule gurls have also included some details of hotels on their website:

Good luck Colonel!

Hahaha, I'm a dick. Sorry.

I've been beaten up and hit in Birmingham on three occasions, all three times were due to me being with black and asian friends. I'm bitter about it.

Absolutely at a loss to try and comprehend this. Were you drinking in some kind of sordid BNP griefhole? Extraordinary bad luck, I should think your experiences are unique.

Anyway! I have a totally twee suggestion. I have a key to Moseley Park, a private and quaint landscaped Victorian park with a fishing lake and boathouse. It's about 20 minutes on the bus from the Custard Factory where Supersonic takes place and is very easy to get to. If you're here and at a loose end on Saturday before showtime we could meet in a pub (there are a number of perfectly serviceable hostelries in B13) and have the fabled EA picnic before the festival kicks off.

If that sounds like too much effort – and it probably is – then we can just as well meet in the Rainbow before everything begins. I’ll bump this before the event and see how it shakes out.

Chris, this sounds rad, and I owe you a pint or three, so my friend and I would love to take you up on either of these suggestions (and get you drunk enough to steal all your belongings) if you fancy it.

Okay, this will be great. Bee Stung Lips and Calvados Beam Trio will be great along with all the fancy American bands.

Chris, Moseley Park sounds like a perfect way to convene...I never got a key when I was a resident. Or we could meet at the Spotted Dog? Nice beer garden (presuming the sun is out).

I would recommend buying beers before you get to the Custard Factory. I 'snuck' a few cans in last year but no-one attempted to search me anyway. The beers in the shop were way overpriced and the bar was 5 deep all day (I think)..Just an idea anyway. If you're staying at the Paragon, it could be worth it, you're only going to be 5 mins away..Looking back, that sounds like a loty of work. Okay, revised plan, bring loads of money!
