i've been stymied and forlorn -- the second album has been a slow and painful process. part of that's just because i've mostly moved away from sampling to recording most of the parts myself. part of that's because i've been more focused on guitar than recording. part of that is the unknown whatever. anyway, after about seven months, it seems like i've broken the writer's block and have more than a good loop or a possible idea - an actual full fledged song! with an actual hook that'll knock your dick off my socks! or something....

so yeah, now if i can just sustain it and figure out the last ten minutes or so so the album isn't one of those dinky 35 minute deals that everybody considers a glorified ep...

Your singer sounds a lot like forum member J. Burns/Horsewhip. Even my girlfriend thought it was him at first.

I want to pimp my friend's band. I just got a copy of their album that will be released at the end of the month, with a record release show at the Empty Bottle, June 21st. (I am feeling so shitty for not being able to play this show, I love these guys so much - as a band and as friends).

This was recorded by Greg here at Electrical and mixed by one of the guys in the band at Gravity (he's head engineer there).
