Thunderdome: Chicago vs. Milwaukee

I think the Box Social are pretty great.

It just sounds to me like your view of Milwaukee bands is a little colored by the attitude you perceive them as putting off. Like the whole "CML has a little of that 'keytars are cool' attitude" thing. Keytars ARE cool, and i'm not saying that ironically.

This is where it becomes obvious you don't know what you're talking about.

I love Milwaukee. I've never felt more at home anywhere. Chicago has its good points and bad.

Madison is full of assholes (apart from the members of Droids Attack).

Dude, I do know what I'm talking about. I wonder if the Box Social is even cool enough for Pitchfork anymore. Droids Attack doesn't have shit on Sector Five Records. Madison is mostly full of assholes...but not the people that go to shows. Crustacean Records thinks it's fucking cool, but it's just old, and their bands are all butt-rocky.

Apparently there are some good bands in Milwaukee...a friend has just shown me the way via PM. This is what I was referring to as far as the learning process is concerned.

Admittedly, what I'm saying comes from limited experiences cultivated over about 8 years worth of road trips and shows I've gone to in Chicago.
To this day, I've spent more time in SF/East Bay than I have in Chicago (or Madison for that matter), despite living only 75 miles away, but if I were to choose one, I'd pick Milwaukee.
Or I'd pick San Francisco, where I partook in a non-permitted outdoor show powered off of a stolen gas generater where bike cops rolled by and waved while some 50 crusties smoked weed and drank Sparks out in the open some 50 yards from a mexican birthday party.

Listen to their MySpace. Do it now. Get back to me. Tell me that you like their two new songs. I dare you.

No it annoys people who have manners and a respect for the strangers around them who paid just as much as you did to see the same show. So could you stop acting like a 12 year old for an hour or so? It's not just all about you and your friends. Thanks pal.

PUSSY ALERT!!!

thanks for telling me i'm right.
