I went to Reckless on Milwaukee and picked up the LP today. I'm on my second listen as I type. I asked the girl at the counter if it had the CD in the sleeve, she said it was kind of a "grab bag" of T&G not including them with some copies and including them with others, so she ripped it open and saw the CD and said "its in there." The CD/LP combination was a huge selling point for me. I'm glad to have them both. The artwork is excellent. The record sounds great.

EIG is not my favorite Shellac record, but I really like the creepy melodies and "rockin' out" on this one though. I was not dissapointed by any means. The sparse instrumentation and less abrasive style is a-nice. I don't think Shellac will ever release a "bad" album, which is why I've gone out of my way to hear everything I can by them.

Those "DUN DUN!" endings are great!

For shame!

A little before when 1000 Hurts came out I earned some extra dough by putting together LP packages at T&G. I did precisely 2307 of them. (I know this because as freelance work the first $600 is tax-free. .26/record X 2307 records = $599.82.) Anyway, I guessed the new Shellac LPs would again have CDs in them. The one I bought in Colorado did.

If they were again put together by hand (record, sleeve, chuck the CD in, etc.) it's conceivable that some parts could be missing in a handful of them. But the CD should be in there.

That sucks if some were stolen. The vinyl is the main attraction, but it's nice to get the CD for the car.
